THE STORY:
For years, I had to leave the Game Industry out of survival necessity and took up a job as a 3D Artist/Renderer in the Architecture Industry. I brought something unique they were truly lacking (and unable to replicate), Game Art experience. Problem solving was a constant, as the Architecture industry tends to throw caution to the wind when it came to insane poly counts on things such as buildings and foliage. Things such as Z-fighting, file crashes and broken UVs were the norm. It fell upon me to make sure everything produced would transition smoothly into engine. Working with the Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Graphic Design teams, I managed the complete rendering pipeline including asset development in 3Ds Max and Sketchup, integration and validation, lighting, set dressing and producing results that always made the owners and the client(s) happy. Additionally I created the firm’s processes and workflows for virtual reality experiences and high definition video site and building tours utilizing Twinmotion (powered by Unreal Engine). With my proven experience and ability to lift the firm to newer heights time and time again, I eventually became Visualization Director.
